Where community comes together

WELCOME To Toll Centre Website

The Toll Centre is a Community Centre owned by the people of Burntisland and run on behalf of the community by a Management Committee which is elected each year at an open Annual General Meeting. The Management committee are all volunteers and all the adults of Burntisland may stand for election.

Fife Council fund 80% of the agreed running costs of the centre and employ a Centre supervisor. The rest of our spending comes from income generated by letting out the centre, or rooms in it, and fund raising. The Toll Centre has been central feature of life in Burntisland since the mid 70's. It grew out of Youth Clubs Burntisland and so Youth Clubs and activities are a central feature of our programme. The centre is the home of Burntisland Playgroup and Burntisland Out of School Service. The Committee believe that their role is to manage the Toll so that it plays a core role in encouraging the healthy growth of community spirit, social values and inclusion within the people of Burntisland
